TRIALS ABOUND...

I am often plagued by trials and tribulations. I often lose sight of my goals. I often falter and fail. But I don't forget where my hope comes from - Jesus.

Many people believe that if you are a Christian that you have no troubles. This is a falsehood. It is, also, why so many people fall away from God and Church and their faith.

People reach out in hope, but Satan strikes out to kill that hope with troubles. If a newborn Christian doesn't understand or know the truth; then they are wounded by the apparent lack of help from God or the failure of their new faith.

The Bible tells us that we will have trials and tribulations. It says that we will be afflicted. It talks about our works being tried in the fire. It tells us that we will have to take up our cross daily. And it warns us to count the cost. Being a Christian doesn't give us a pass on the troubles of the world. Being a Christian means we have a relationship with Jesus - who is able and willing to help us.

Understand, God is faithful and full of mercy and compassion for our plight. He sent his only begotten son to offer us salvation. He sanctifies men to preserve his word. He performs miracles. He blesses his people with the Holy Spirit. His power is infinite and unimaginable. He doesn't want anyone to be lost.

What we have to remember and fix firmly in our mind, is the goal. We have heaven to gain and hell to shun. We can have an eternal life of peace in God's Kingdom or an eternal life of torment in hell.

Troubles are assuredly a part of this world. But we have help and hope with Jesus Christ.

I pray you will reach out and hold on to Jesus. Have a blessed day!
