Good morning! My apologies, I have not been posting faithfully in some time. Life has a way of taking over when you have the least amount of time and energy, doesn’t it?

I would like to share a few verses in Psalm 1:1-3 with you this morning.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, not standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Wow! Those three little verses are a whole lesson unto themselves. God’s word is always illuminating, but sometimes He just cuts right to the heart of the matter.

He is calling for us to stand apart from that which is ungodly. In this day and time that we live, this is often difficult. All you have to do is open your eyes or turn on your TV or look out your window or step out your door to be confronted by the ungodly. The examples of this reality are so numerous and insinuating that we are all touched by it.

We are hustling off every day to make a living for our families. We are so busy and overworked and stressed that we don’t even realize that we are part of that ungodly number. We fume and rant while stuck in rush hour traffic. We gripe and complain about our home life, spouse, children, in-laws, co-workers, and neighbors to anyone and everyone who will listen.

Have you weighed the words coming out of your own mouth recently? Are those words of life and goodness or ones of anger, exhaustion, and frustration?

Have you considered your personal impact on the people and world around you? Are you a living example of Christ’s love? Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?

Meditate on God’s word. You will be delighted at how good it is. The Holy Bible is a road map for your life. But if you don’t read the map, how are you going to find your way?

Are you depending on the man standing behind a pulpit to tell you? Or your parents? Or the reporter on the evening news?

Read it for yourself. Think about how it. Meditate. Absorb it. Try it out. Discuss it with your family. Discuss it with your friends. Apply it to your life.

Jesus is able to work in our lives when we open the door. He is able to bless us. He is able to preserve our lives. He can bring prosperity. And most importantly, Jesus can change the world through you and me.

Please, consider the Word today!
